But it might not be all that easy for you to get the sleep you demand. You need at least seven hours of sleep every night so you will feel restored and refreshed. You can attain that rest by keeping a consistent sleep schedule and avoiding caffeine throughout the day, especially at night. You should also keep your bedroom quiet and dark when sleeping so you can focus on getting to sleep and staying asleep.

Sleep apnea is a problem that many people bear with every night. The condition develops as you stop breathing on occasion while sleeping. You will slightly awaken with each apnea episode, thus forcing you into a lighter stage of sleep. You need to be physically active for a better sleep routine. You will build upon your body’s energy stores when you exercise. Your body will also feel stronger throughout the day. You need to create a regular sleep schedule where you go to bed and wake up at or around specific times each day. Your body’s natural alarm clock will become disoriented if you keep shifting your sleep schedule all around the place.

Dehydration makes it harder for people to stay awake. Dehydration leads to low energy levels and a lack of focus and concentration. Consuming eight glasses of water a day is recommended for helping you to retain your focus.

Excess Energy Drinks May Be a Factor

While you might get a temporary boost out of an energy drink, the high amounts of sugar and caffeine you take in will produce intense fatigue later. Much of this is due to the withdrawal that you experience off of the drink. Replace your energy drinks with water if possible.
